The great wall of iron!

Visit Our Site

The Lodge Museum of Cast Iron is a celebration of cast iron—past, present, and future—and takes visitors on a journey of how it’s made and why it matters. Whether you love food, culture, or the American story, the museum is a must-see destination—with one very big skillet at the center. Learn more about the history of Lodge, America’s original cast iron manufacturer since 1896 and family-owned to this day. Dive deep into the food cultures with interactive exhibits created in partnership with the Southern Foodways Alliance. Add your personal and family cast iron history to the exhibit, and see the World’s Largest Cast Iron Skillet, measuring 18 feet from handle to handle. It’s all right at home in cast iron’s hometown!
